Mrs Vanessa Doolabh Sukhraj

My passion from a young age has always been teaching. I volunteered my services to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital to help and teach the elderly common life skills.

I did not study to become a teacher because of the remuneration earned by teachers in our country.

I graduated at UKZN in 2012 as a Chartered Accountant. I served my articles at Allan H English and gained valuable experience working as an Audit Manager @ Victor Fernandes & Co.

I moved on to opening my own practice, Vanessa Doolabh Sukhraj Incorporated. I have a successful business with a clientele ranging from small to large business.

The shortage of employment in our country is a huge problem. I believe that it is time for me to give back to my country.

Improving Service delivery in the Restaurant Industry

As a business operating in the hospitality sector, we have seen it all.

Poor service from waiters to patrons because of zero training. Restaurant's not doing stock counts because of illiteracy in this area. Restaurants doing stock counts with a book and pen like they did when using a horse and cart to work was a norm. The RESULT is always the same, Restaurant shuts down, Owner loses his assets and employees are retrenched. Multiple Jobs are lost. This vicious circle we have witnessed too many times.
